Ivette Spence Brown led us in prayer before our meeting started. Our meeting started at 7:54PM.

Lt. Fleming and Dep. Murphy had to leave due to an emergency. Eugene said there was a stolen car and bike in the canal. There were several huge drug arrests. One of the owners of the home has a sign posted No Drugs. Code enforcement caught a man dumping by the Marshalls and he was arrested. His picture is on the website.

We have the Neighborhood Enhancement and Preservation Plan available. The Plan is now in effect. Each person receiving one will be asked to sign for it. The First, Second and Third addition of Washington Park will receive a copy of the Plan. Any one can come to the NEP Council meeting at 6:30PM on the second Thursday of each month. Betty said she is glad the vacant lot next to her is being cleaned up. Eugene said stripping would be done once all the bids are completed. There is an Annexation Committee being worked on. Fort Lauderdale and Lauderdale Lakes are working on a bill to submit to Tallahassee.

Marcus from Chen and Associates thanked us for working with them. He said Ric Mann kept the men he hired while working in our neighborhood. He said Ivette Brown?’s mother would have a six-foot fence replaced at her home.

Pat Sabia wished everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year. He said 6,000 violations were written in Central Broward. The neighborhood is really improving. He said if there are any questions or complaints please call him.

Rubye Ellington said most of the work for the recipients of the $5,000.00 has been done. They are working on the $10,000.00 winners. She wants to meet with the winners to get their information. Four of the last winners did not qualify. She said winners can speak to John David at 954 357-5832 or Jim Eubonone. She said that any contractor the County use must be licensed and insured.
