The meeting opened at 7:03 by saying The Lord?’s Prayer in unison. Our president read the minutes from the October meeting, November?’s minutes were accepted as written.
New Residents: Tracy Adoba from 2824 NW 9 CT; Bertha Pitts from 898 NW 28 AVE; Ferrel Payne Owens from 2833 NW 9 PL.
Lt. Kelly from our fire station and three firemen were in attendance to address our questions but there wasn?’t any.
Joy from code enforcement has been reassigned.
Warren advised us of the drive to get our pets vaccinated on Saturday February 11, 2006 from 11A-3P. The rabies vaccinations is $6 per pet.

Our residents expressed a concern over the scooters the kids are riding on the street, BSO advised us that the scooters are illegal for people under 16 and children. One resident reported a problem with a neighbor with a lot of trash in the yard and she is starting to get rats in her yard.
Neighborhood Enhancement: Their election will be the 2nd Thursday in February. There is a meeting next week on 1-19-06 Delevoe Park regarding restoration It has also been suggested that people do not eat the fish out of the river because of bacteria.
Benovolent Update: Mrs. Giles reminded us of the residents we lost in 2005. She also advised us of a place called the Caring Place LLC. It is an assisted living facility located at 2952 NW 10th CT, FT Lauderdale FL 3311. Mr. Marshall sent his apology to the kids in the neighborhood for not being able to get gifts for the kids because of the passing of his brother.
Seniors over 65 are now able to get an additional exemption for their property taxes. The telephone number for Lori Parrish who is the property appraiser is 954-357-6830.

There was a motion to keep the same officer because we had no opponents. The motion was made by Mrs. Smith and seconded by Myrtle McIntosh. These officers will serve for the next two years.
Trash pickup-Yvonne Sumlin spoke with code enforcement and integrated waste. Garbage should not be in black bags unless its in a garbage bag container. Do not put debris on top of the garbage.
Grant applications were passed out. There will be a medicare drug plan workshop on January 24, 2006 at 7P at St. George Community Center. Please contact Mae Smith at 954-325-6660.
Treasurer Report: Beginning balance $62. Ivette reimbursed dues from the trip that was cancelled because of the hurricane. $282 paid out - $150 deposit at Franklin Park for the Christmas Party. $82 ham for the party. $50 for certificates. Balance $805. Dues tonight $202. B
