Mr. Norman Taylor, Director
Department of Economic Development
115 South Andrews Avenue, Room A540
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301

Subject: Creation of a CRA Advisory Board for Central County Dear Mr. Taylor,

Thank you for your staff?’s interest in helping us with redevelopment in Central County. We are happy to finally have staff dedicated to helping us achieve our community goals.

I am requesting that you call a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners acting
As a CRA board so that they could set up a advisory board so that we can get together
On participation and provide input to the County about issues that matter to all of us as
A group. I have discussed this idea with some of the presidents and they agree.

The reason for this advisory board is that the county has a lot of projects going on in the area and we need to make sure they are being coordinated and the word is out about what is going on. The projects that need input are OES capital projects, the 27k?” Avenue Revitalization Plan, annexation bills, and housing redevelopment.

Having the CRA Advisory Board will help the County get coordinated feedback instead of numerous opinions and requests that are happening now. Please consider this request to put this request on the Commission agenda for their consideration.

Thank you for your interest and commitment to redevelopment in Central County. Sincerely,

Eugene Franklin, President / Washington Park
