Yvonne opened our meeting at 7:10pm. She gave the roll call Idella Wright and Julia Porter present. We read the minutes from 09-07-06. Idella made a motion to accept the minutes, Yvonne seconded the motion. We voted unanimously to accept the minutes.


Yvonne received an email about the rooming houses in our Neighborhood. Rooming houses are illegal in all of the Neighborhood Preservation and Enhancement Districts. We discussed the ones in our Neighborhood.

She had a copy of the Neighborhood News. We discussed the articles in the newsletter. People in need of help can apply to the State and it will then be referred to the local government. There will be a representative from elderly services at the next Washington Park Civic Association Meeting.

We discussed the billing of trash pickup for new residents. They have to pay a prorated amount for the current year then the following year they will be billed the full year on their taxes.

We discussed ways to get information to new residents.
