August 2, 2007

Yvonne called our meeting to order at 7:10pm. She gave the roll call Idella, Julia and Yvonne present. James Ross and Michelle were absent. We discussed our by laws regarding attendance. Ted will check with Michelle to see if she can work on the Council. He will check the records for the person with the next highest number of votes.

We read the minutes from June 7, 2007. Idella made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Yvonne seconded the motion. We voted and accepted the minutes as written

Yvonne said she had not been able to work on the youth programs yet. She will be working on them later this month.

Warren will be contacting residents about the after school camp.

Yvonne found an old flyer to welcome new residents. She will be working on a package to give them. She wants to work with the youth to distribute them. When the package is done we will present it to the Civic Association before distributing them.

We discussed the continuing problem with residents making repairs on cars in the street. The streets are dirty with oil from the repairs. There are also still commercial vehicles parked on the street and in vacant lots. We discussed the problems with Ted Vitale.

Ivette Spence-Brown questioned the fences if they were installed according to our Plan. Ted will check on if they had a permit.

We also discussed the problem with noise from a band practicing. There was also an issue with a Deputy called about the noise.
