Observatory Update

Have you been to the Drake Municipal Observatory lately? A major improvement at the facility was completed this summer. Additions to the entrance include barrier-free access to the first floor with a new ramp and parking area. Earlier in the restoration project, an accessible restroom was added on the first floor. The original sundial base outside the entry has been placed on a new pedestal, constructed using plans from the initial construction. The final program in the Fall 2003 Public Lecture Series takes place on October 24th at 8:00 p.m. - ?“Will the Universe End??”
