Des Moines Police Investigate Vandalism in Waveland Park

Apr 13, 2004

You have probably noticed the problem with graffiti in Waveland Park. Businesses, schools, a church, and traffic signs have been among the targets. We contacted Senior Police Officer Larry Rogers and learned that police investigation concluded the cases were in the category of ?“criminal mischief?” rather than being associated with activities of any organized groups. His advice is to alert neighbors and ask people to be on the lookout for individuals who are committing these crimes. If you see anyone in the act, it is appropriate to call 911 and report the problem so prompt action can be taken. If you have any questions on this or any other neighborhood crime issues, the Des Moines Police Department will among the resources taking part in the Spring Fling. Stop by their table to discuss your concerns.
