Due to the volume of work and the wide range of issues handled by our office, we naturally have a division of labor. Some of our district deputies serve as general ambassadors to certain parts of the community, working on projects with neighborhood groups, homeowners associations, non-profit organizations and the emerging neighborhood councils. Others specialize in casework, handling specific, individual concerns, such as potholes and building and safety code violations.

Our deputy for Venice, Marina del Rey and Cheviot Hills/Rancho Park is Peter Brown. His email is prown@council.lacity.org. Peter is one of two recent additions to our staff, joining us last week after working for UCLA, State Sen. Tom Hayden, the federal Office of Management and Budget, and the LA County Department of Children & Family Services.

Our deputy for Mar Vista, Del Rey and South Crenshaw is Audrey King, our senior district deputy. Her email is aking@council.lacity.org.

Mike, who joins us after working for Jane Harman's last congressional campaign, will also be backing Audrey up as needed in Mar Vista and Del Rey.
