As a neighborhood of 86 homes, we strive to keep our community safe for all residents and visitors. A community Block Watch is organized and meetings are held each year to maintain our Block watch status. You can make Whispering Pines a safe place to live by doing the following:
Observe the speed limit of 25 mph, but 15 mph is recommended
for the safety of children
Leave an inside light on when you go away for extended periods
Let a neighbor know when you will be away on vacation or away for more than a few days so he/she can keep watch for suspicious activity in your absence
Stop your mail and paper when leaving for extended periods, or ask a neighbor to pick up these items in your absence (in addition to mailbox drop bags)
Leave front porch and back patio
lights on overnight
Call your Block Watch coordinator or the Columbus Police (614) 645
4545 directly if you witness any suspicious activity in the
neighborhood
