Oak Wilt Committee to Report at Annual Meeting

The Oak Wilt Committee will report out on their activities over the summer at the POA meeting on September 4. Members include: Margarette and Tom Weirich, Jane and James Allison, Orville Langston, Jay Harris,and Patrick Henry.

?“This really was a neighborhood effort,?” said Tom Weirich. Neighbors pulled together to make this happen. We couldn?’t have contained the infected trees if Jay Harris, the Keeles, the Pernickas, and the Boyers hadn?’t given us permission to trench on their property.?“

?“By acting quickly, we saved trees and money,?” said Jesse Martin. There?’s a neighborhood in South Austin trying to raise $200,000 right now to save their trees. That would have put our little POA out of business.?”
