Terrain making workshop...

I am looking at my game table and frankly getting a little bored with the terrain that I have. How many times can a swarm of blood-thirsty ork warriors sweep across the same battlefield before they get a little "ancy".

Frankly the last thing I want is a house full of unhappy orks! So help me out here... I am looking to have a terrain day at either the Muscatine Y or the Musser library where kids and adults will be welcome to build and paint their own terrain creations.

I will provide the paints' glue, brushes and a good deal of material for building, but more stuff is always welcome.

All of the terrain built will go towards the Jolly Rogers Game club creation. I am hoping to land a spot on the local public access channel 9 demonstrating games, modeling tips and strategy. The terrain will be used there and in the game club.

Things that are useful for the cause... hot glue sticks (low temp preferred). Popsicle sticks, toothpicks, wire mesh, string, sculpey clay, pringles cans, toilet paper and paper towel tubes. And just about anything else you can safely make into an interesting piece of terrain.

Other things that are greatly appreciiated are large bristle paint brushes, and acrylic paints. (Both availible at the local Wal-Mart in the craft section.)

There may be a small fee for the work shop based on what kind of response and what kind of turnout is expected (probably not more than $2 per person) and adults and kids are encouraged to get involved.

If we can get enough people into the gaming hobby then most of this terrain will probably go towards tournament prizes for various games. So please let me know if you are interested and leave me a way to contact you.
