Windsor Forest is well on its way into Spring ?¡X a time of renewal and a time of reassessment; a time for new beginnings and reevaluations; a time for planting, sowing and preparing for the Harvest - a busy time for our Windsor Forest Neighborhood and for each of us personally.

As I look around Windsor Forest I think of how blessed we are to live in the United States of America; a place where we can live and speak freely; a place where we can work to improve our neighborhoods and ourselves; a place we can be proud to call home.

Windsor Forest has come a long way since its inception. I believe it is because a bunch of neighbors came together and reassessed and reevaluated their neighborhood and sowed the seeds for a cohesive neighborhood. The idea was planted and look what a harvest we reaped - Windsor Forest Neighborhood Association!

And like springtime, we reassess our Windsor Forest Neighborhood Association each year. If we become lax or indifferent, then just like a garden, we suffer from inattention. We have heard the saying, ?¡?§Anything worth doing is worth doing right!?¡?¨ That?¡?¦s the same for a neighborhood association, a garden or your life; you get out of it what you put into it (you reap what you sow).

The successfulness of Windsor Forest Neighborhood Association is determined by all of its members (you and me). And, our dues are a part of what makes our neighborhood association successful. Our dues are the least of any neighborhood association in and around Oklahoma City (they really are)! That ten dollars a year from each household not only makes our neighborhood a safer place to live and raise our families, it helps to keep it attractive and it pays for various activities that WFNA sponsors. Every year we have a chili dinner, a picnic at the beginning of summer, National Night Out and other events; our dues help pay for these so our members can come together and enjoy one another.

Every neighbor is important to Windsor Forest in one way or another. Please keep your and my neighborhood alive and working for all of us. If you have not renewed your dues, please do so (we need you!) and if you have not joined Windsor Forest Neighborhood Association yet, please do (we need you, too!). To our new neighbors that have just joined WFNA - We WELCOME you! Now, let?¡?¦s ALL work together sowing and reaping the fruits of our garden - Windsor Forest.
