Proposed Changes to Christmas Tree Lane Decorations and Parade Route
Maria Norvell discussed the meeting she attended with the City to discuss the parade. The following changes were explained: There will be a different parade route; there will be no lights in the trees, instead there will be lights on the ground facing the trees; there will be no stage for the entertainment nights, instead there will be a portable stage and seating. There were several comments from the membership regarding the changes. Councilwoman Uranga explained the costs of the parade, estimated at $45,000 and the need to provide a less costly way of providing services. The lighting of the trees was estimated at $16,000.
Maria provided the dates of the following events for the parade. Volunteers needed to sign-up for the different events:

?• 10th 15th, 16th , 17th Entertainment Nites
Announcements
?• Holiday Potluck Supper: Monday, December 4, 2006
?• January 8, 2006: Due to the New Year Holiday, the General Association meeting will be held on the second Monday instead of the first Monday.
?• Featured speaker will be Karl Wiegelman, who will provide an update on the Community Code Enforcement Program;
?• Billy Quach, West Division Police Commander
?• District 6 & 7th Clean-ups for Saturday, November 18th
