There will be an in depth discussion with the representatives of
Penbrooke Financial re a Conditional Use Permit for an Auto Loan
Business on Pacific Coast Avenue in Wrigley. The site is 201 W. PCH
(the corner of Pacific Avenue). This type of business model typically
charges many times what would normally be paid for a loan; often over
100 percent annually.
What is PAC?
Project Area Committees, or PACs, are citizen bodies comprised of residents, property owners and business owners in the Redevelopment Project Areas. They advise the Agency on policy matters affecting residents in the Project Area and help guide the implementation of the Redevelopment Plan. Residents of Redevelopment Project Areas are encouraged to involve themselves with their PACs.
Since the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency was formed in 1961, seven redevelopment projects have been adopted. The project areas include: Downtown, West Beach, Poly High, West Long Beach Industrial, Los Altos, Central Long Beach and North Long Beach. Three of these project areas are overseen by Project Area Committees made up of residents, business owners and property owners.
The Long Beach Redevelopment Agency is dedicated to improving communities in Long Beach. We welcome your feedback, comments and questions.
