Invitation from NSB to Neighborhood Leadership Conference

Dear Neighborhood Leaders:

It is our pleasure to invite you to the Neighborhood Services Bureau's 10th Annual Neighborhood Leadership Conference that will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Long Beach City College's Liberal Arts Campus located at 4901 East Carson Street.

The theme of the conference is "Less Mean, More Green! Safe and Green Neighborhoods Now and Forever" and will include four different workshop topics:

* Making a Green Difference in Your Neighborhood
* Keeping it Good in the Neighborhood
* Green Initiatives in Long Beach
* Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

The event will include a welcome from Mayor Bob Foster and a keynote speech from Assistant City Manager Suzanne Frick.

Please e-mail your RSVP for the Neighborhood Leadership Program Conference to attend the conference. We have limited space for the conference and workshops.

MORE: The Aquarium encourages local residents to become part of a city-wide dialogue on creating a greener, more sustainable Long Beach. On Oct. 4 at the Aquarium, residents will have the opportunity to share their opinions and ideas with city officials on how Long Beach can reduce its impact on global climate change.
