RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES in WRIGLEY

An important note from Lieutenant Josef Levy, LBPD-West Division

We have seen residential burglaries taking place during day-time hours in the area of Wardlow to Hill and DeForrest to Atlantic .

Although we have made some arrests, we need to remind residents of the following:

-Always lock doors and windows

-Never leave a house key available under a doormat, flower pot etc.

-Try to make your home look like someone is home, using timers for lights or radios

-Make sure you use good locks for garages, side gates, patios or other doors that lead into your home

And the best crime prevention device ever invented is "A GOOD NEIGHBOR". Police can’t be everywhere at once, but you and your neighbors can. You are the ones who really know what is going on in your neighborhood. If you spot someone suspicious, call us immediately.
