My wife, Elisha, and I moved to Franklinton in August of 2008 from Grove City. Elisha had previously lived in Franklinton (Dakota Ave. and W. Rich St.) with friends from college. After searching for months and having a contract fall through on another home in Franklinton, we finally were able to purchase a beautiful, brick home on Wisconsin Ave. that had been vacant for more than a year. It's still a work in progress, but we've received LOTS of help from folks in the neighborhood, most of whom are now close friends. Our son, Silas, was born in July of 2009 and we've found our church home at Xenos Westside, which meets at the City Life Center on Chicago Ave. right behind our house. There are also several other healthy churches/ministries all over the neighborhood which I think will be a key to the community's turnaround.
