HELLO FROM THE MARINOS
The Marino extended family has arrived in Westerville. Im Sam and my wife is Sandy. The extended family that I mentioned is Shannon our daughter and her one year old daughter Emma. We are all working in doing the things necessary to fit our house to us or is that fit us to our house. We also brought along our in home travel business that specializes in assisting our cruising friends in finding Cruise Ship vacations that best fit their needs, desires and pocket books.
Why Westerville? Grandchildren and the cost of living in California are the reasons we are here! My wife and I have 12 grandchildren. The youngest is Emma, at a little over a year old; she is a real joy. The others are ages all the way up to college graduates. Because our youngest 5 grandchildren live in Westerville, our choice of where to live was an easy one. We purchased our home in Westerville and moved from Southern California in late May of this year. Now we are settling in, visiting churches and finding out where to shop. At the same time we also want to meet our new neighbors to find out about them and introduce ourselves.
As you might have guessed, we also want our neighbors to ask us about Cruising With Sam our family business. Like many people, after my retirement from my first career, in the management of food manufacturing companies, I looked around for something interesting to do. About that time my wifes and my friends invited us to go on an Alaska cruise. They had operated a travel agency for many years and had been on over 80 cruises. We valued their experienced opinion; however, I was concerned that a cruise would be confining and boring, so I resisted agreeing to go. In the end, however, we took their advice and signed up with Princess Cruise lines for an Alaska Inside Passage cruise.
Early in the voyage, however, I was thrilled to discover my earlier doubts dissipate as we sailed the inside passage, enjoying the view, the ambiance of the ship and the company of our fellow passengers. My wifes and my belief that we had found the best vacation experience possible grew exponentially after we visited the first port and so the concept of Cruising With Sam began.
