I grew up on Parsons Blvd., across the street from the nurses residence of Flushing Hospital. Went to PS 24 where I met my best friend Gay Edison-Froelich. I went to Flushing High and spent most of my time in and around Flushing. My parents owned the Freeman Shoe store next door to the RKO Keiths theater.

Although I hated school, I went on to Queens College, Adelphi University and Pace University School of Law ( CLASS OF 91)

Kissena  Park will forever remain a key part of my childhood and  adolescence. The boat basin, lake and playgrounds,motorboat racing on the lake on Sunday mornings ( OMG I am giving away my age  LOL), sleigh riding down the hills......... all fondly etched into my memory.

I wonder how the park looks now...............................................................................
