Investing is simple if you have a good partner. If that partner treats you like a family member, it gets even easier!
I educate people about the risks they're taking; how wealth is created; and why certain investments are or are not appropriate. I love the interaction I get to have with people and, I especially savor those "light bulb moments."
I come from very humble beginnings in a working-class Midwestern family. I was the first member of my family to graduate high school, let alone go to college. I grew up relatively poor; homeless at one point. I wasn't the best student and I certainly lacked direction. Circa 1993, the Marine Corps was willing to give me all the direction I needed. No task became a problem beyond that point; I was a Marine!
Fast forward 20 years, a few combat excursions and a steep leadership learning curve, I found myself ready for a new chapter of life. Because I had planned ahead and set goals, at age 39 I was able to retire from my first career. While it was true that I retired the uniform, my passion to serve others only grew stronger.
Here on the west side of Indianapolis, I now serve a variety of clients. You'll find that I work with clients who are employees of Allison Transmission, Lilly, and Carrier and are planning for retirement; retirees who are looking for more tax free income; and multigenerational families who are seeking to plan and execute their wealth transfer plans. Beginners are okay, too!
What all these folks have in common is that everyone gets equal service from me. I prefer to work with people who value my time and who respect that the advice that I give is backed by data. My goal is not to beat a specific index, give you "hot" stock tips, or sell you a specific product.
