Dear friends, The perfect example of what occurred when my 20 year old friends did not vote around 1983: the United States Congress voted to increase the retirement age for Social Security. My now nearly 50 year old friends are still marvelously indifferent to what happens in their political existences. In all likelihood, their children are wonderfully ignorant of what goes on around their limited social, political, economic and religious spheres.
Sometimes, I worry about how future political indifference will get the United States into total chaos.
peace, Jim
