Whatever side of the fence people seem to be sitting on, on the issues and emotions posted-
Why not put those energies into affecting some real positive changes here by PARTICIPATING in the fight ahead, to get us out of the Flood Plain, maybe possibly recoop some of our cash for flood insurance premiums we have been paying for 3 years, make sure our soil and air are SAFE for our families, and start trying to get the City to implement the Neighborhood Plan (sitting on a shelf at City Hall)that was done by FARR and Associates with many things that would bring up the neighborhood? Don't worry we have a copy.
It should not be left to a few neighborhood investors/homeowners to do all the heavy lifting.
We would hope to see ALL of you who have been posting here pro or con at the next neighborhood meeting ready and willing to work together!
A sign of good faith to the naysayers would be if this Jim everyone talks about would show up as well. His participation in the fight could be pivitol because he has received a CLMR via the City to complete his home due to their goof, in a VERY short period of time.
The City has not shown the rest of the neighborhood the same courtesy.
So put away the boxing gloves, your neighbors are not your enemies, save them for the bigger fight...
Stay tuned!
