Dear Max and Arthur,
I witnessed something very disconcerting on 2/18 on the streets of Pawtucket that one hears about on the streets of Newark, New Jersey or Compton, California.
Apparently a black van with a blasting stereo was travelling west on East Street, at the intersection of Broadway. I heard a gigantic thud as the van drove past me. My son thought he saw a man in a black hoodie throw a brick, from a nearby demolition site, at the van.
Luckily, for all involved, the van kept moving west. The young man, white, about six feet tall, around 20 years old, wearing all black, from hood to jeans and sneakers, moved quickly north on Broadway towards the South Attleboro line.
In essence, Max, another crime tip: Do not leave your radio blasting or someone may cause damage to your car. Better yet, stay away from Broadway.
