ECSEANDC Block Club Organizing UPDATE 3/22/03

ALERT!! CALLING ALL FUTURE & PRESENT BLOCK CLUB LEADERS

Our neighborhoods hope is based on our ability to ORGANIZE, MOBILIZE, and STRATEGIZE and do so in a way that will bring people together on mutual grounds. One of the ways to achieve unity among groups of individual resident on issue driven interests is to engage in organizing strong and effective neighborhood block clubs. . Organizing strong neighborhood block clubs is an important first step for building a sense of community and to create opportunity for neighbors to create a forum to engage in meaningful dialogue. It is through block club organizing that community leaders can experience the development of start-up programs to address diversity sensitivity and learn about culture and language and sharing.

If you do not have an organized block club in your neighborhood, allow us to help get one started. If there is currently a neighborhood block club in existence allow us to come and share information on how we can work together to make our southeast community neighborhood more viable and more cohesive.

There is an added bonus in organizing neighborhood block clubs in the southeast community. Neighborhood leaders and ECSEANDC leadership can work together for neighborhood residents life enhancement.
Over the last decade the southeast community neighbor-to-neighbor communications has eroded. Communication gap continue to widen due to language barriers and generation gaps.
However, We are all faced with the same serious threats to the safety of our families. Gang warfare, drug and alcohol abuse, and numerous crime magnets throughout our neighborhoods. Our resolutions lie within our ability to come together and hold discussion on our neighborhoods problems and our neighborhood leaders ability to engage in an all-inclusive community organizing effort.

TEAM EFFORT IS IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR ORGANIZING SUCCESSES BECAUSE, TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More.

Let's team-up - get organized.
