This program is sponsored by Shelby State Community College and has been refunded through the year 1999. The program is funded for three years and 1999 is the second year that Shelby State Community College will need help to raise matching funds.

Americorps is a national service program that provides thousands of citizens of all ages and backgrounds with educational awards in exchange for a year or two of community service.

"Getting things done" is the Americorps approach to serving the citizens in our community. Bonnie Daniels, Eloiz Frazier, Doris Lacy, Barbara Partee and Ulysses Truitt have been appointed to their Advisory Board.
