I heard from the owners of Azel last night that there will be a new Chili's on the corner lot adjacent to our property. The lot behind Wal*Mart is going to be home to a new MultiPlex. The new Lowe's accross Hwy. 9 should be open by summer.I hope that we all get behind these new businesses, show them the support they deserve. We are lucky to live in a community where we can walk to work, to dine, to shop, to see a movie and still have lots of natural beauty to enjoy as well.

Development near Home Depot

American Star Development broke ground on its 30,000-square-foot restaurant and retail center on Windward Parkway, in front of the Home Depot. The development will connect the Wal-Mart and Home Depot parking lots, and will include two buildings of equal size. It is almost entirely leased out.
The center will include an Ohio-based sandwich shop called W.G. Grinders, Ray?’s Pizza restaurant, a McDonald?’s-owned burrito restaurant called Chipotle, Solar Dimensions, which is a day spa and tanning facility, Mattress Zone and other small businesses. The building will be in the style of the nearby Deerfield neighborhood, and the developer said he worked with neighborhood officials in creating the building?’s design.
