Hmmmm, more questions, more smoke and mirrors. In a nutshell, due to TABOR (taxpayors bill of rights) the Co. Commission can't raise taxes to raise money for needed projects, it must go to a vote, which is why creating a PID would go to a vote, as it would create a tax, or an assesment, however we choose to set it up, if we go that way. They will not adopt more roads to maintain unless there is money to do so. They certainly refuse to adopt our roads because they are not to accepted standard (although CR 670 is but they do not maintain it)
We were told that money doe NOT come from the general funds to make up the shortfall of doing roads. But Roads and Bridges told Robert that. Thad says that is not so. So, our question is, where does it come from??????? We have another meeting Mon. Nov 23 with Thad and Rick (engineer) in Frisco at noon, if you want to attend. We hope to get that question answered, once and for all.
He is still pushing for a PID. We might consider it IF we got $7000 per mile deposited into the account. I think a neighborhood meeting is in order to disucss this further and try to answer questions and take an unofficial poll of who would be interested in a PID, and who would benefit. Apparently, according to Thad, we can gerrymander the district to include whomever we want, for example, the PID might just be CR 672.
Please join in the conversation and let me know who would come to a meeting at our house.Perhaps a Sunday afternoon after the slopes close? If I can get enough people to come and put in their two cents and ask questions, etc. I will set a date and post it.
