Alta Mira is a great place to live! Our residents are a diverse group of people - from retirees to young married couples just starting a family.
They come from many different walks of life - hailing from different places - the Midwest, the East Coast, in fact, just about every state of the Union, to Europe, Asia and the Middle East. No matter where they are from originally - they all call Alta Mira home now.
The people of Alta Mira are as varied in their career choices as they are in other areas of their life - our neighborhood is home to a wide range of people doing a wide range of jobs - from attorneys, professors, & engineers to small business owners & stay-at home moms.
The Alta Mira Neighborhood Association is a voluntary organization of residents who work together to improve quality of life in Alta Mira.
Every Alta Mira resident is welcome to join, but participation is optional. Unlike a Homeowner's Association - there is no fee. All expenses are paid through homeowner donations, or through fundraising events.
The Alta Mira Neighborhood Association holds meetings throughout the year. There is also a biannual newsletter, and city funded postcards sent out to each household to inform residents of important news and events.
Currently, the Alta Mira Neighborhood Association is working on three improvement projects. First is the renovation of Goodwin Park; second, the repair of our neighborhood's exterior walls; and third, the renovation of our neighborhood entryways. More information about all these projects can be found elsewhere on this web site, just look for the links under community pages on the home page.
