Currently all residents who are located on the Moncks Corner town line in the Conifer Hall subdivision are eligible for voluntarily individually annexing into the town. These include many of the residents on the south side of Mountain Pine Rd along with many residents backing the Oak Hill subdivision.
Benefits of joining the town include:
*outstanding recreation opportunities with fees up to 60% less for in-town residents
*all street lighting costs are paid by the Town
*faster response time for police and emergency services
*Zoning ordinance is enforced so as to protect property owners from the encroachment of incompatible land use
*The town's public service department will coordinate street repairs and drainage maintenance by the County Public Works Dept.
*More frequent police patrols
*Residents would no longer pay the $75 County fire fee (essentially this will decrease property taxes for the MAJORITY, though not all residents)
