PTO Volunteer Opportunities

Become a PTO Volunteer

* Please join the PTO and pay your $5.00 annual membership in September and receive a free Morrison Mustang gift.

Please feel welcome to attend and participate in the monthly PTO meetings @ 7:00 PM in the Cafetorium (please see the Calender).
The classroom with the most representation at each meeting wins the PTO banner for the month.
A gift bag is raffled off each month as a door prize. The bag is given to your child’s classroom.

* The PTO typically holds three raffles each school year at the Halloween Ball, the Holiday Fair and the Spring Fling. Please consider donating a raffle item.

* Please support our efforts in reaching our annual fund raising goals by participating in the fundraisers.

* Volunteer to be part of the Classroom Communication Network. Act as a liaison between the classroom parents and the teacher/school/PTO via telephone and/or e-mail.

* Halloween Ball – October 24,2003, Location Sons of Italy Hall, Quincy 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Setup the Hall - Arrive 5:30 p.m.
Work Raffle Table
Sell tickets for raffle items
Clean up the Hall

* Holiday Fair - Friday 12/5/03, school hours

Shop for items for men/women/girls/boys/pets - turn in receipts to the PTO Treasurer for reimbursement
Make ornaments
Setup after school on Thursday 12/4/03 in gym
Work a table at the fair during school hours Friday 12/5/03 (Very Flexible Hours)
Inventory remaining items after the fair
Clean up at approximately 2:30 p.m.

* Spring Fling – April date TBD, Location TBD @ 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m.

Set up the Hall- Arrive 6:00 p.m.

Clean up the Hall

* Teacher Appreciation Week – Week of 5/3 – 5/7/04, school hours

Prepare a breakfast or lunch selection and deliver it to the school
Assist the Hospitality Committee with setup, serving and clean up for the luncheon on Friday in the Media Center (10 a.m. – 2 p.m., flexible hours)
Purchase an item from the “Teacher’s Wish List” and deliver it school
