Our mission is to share organic gardening space, fellowship and education with anyone with the desire to grow their own nutritious food.
The Argyle Area Community Garden office is conveniently located near I-295 and Blanding Blvd. at 7033 Collins Road. You can’t see the garden from the street, but turn on Garden Road and you’ll discover a beautiful natural area where members grow vegetables and herbs as a community, combining their talents and seeds, and sharing planting and weeding tasks and the harvest. The fee to join and harvest from the garden is $24.00/year + 12 volunteer hours a month.
There are also 4’x8’ private plots available for a $60.00 annual membership fee, paid in two yearly installments.
We are advocates for locally-grown, organically raised fruit and vegetables and sustainable practices. Our goals are to reuse, recycle and repurpose when we can, and to take advantage of solar power when possible.
We are keen on introducing young people to gardening and invite scout troops, home school families, and youth groups to come out and garden with us, volunteer for community service hours or schedule field trips to see what’s growing.
