How about some feedback on the community yard/garage sale? Were you happy with your results? Do you have any suggestions for the next one? Should there be a next one?

Yard Sale

I thought that the community yard sale was a great idea. I had a yard sale on my own in the fall and got a so-so response. On Saturday, I was only able to be set up from 7-10, but I still was able to sell $60 worth of clothes and a handful of odds and ends. It was great seeing the advertisements in the Surprise papers and many people commented that was how they knew about the sale. I just hope next time that more people on my street (Gil Balcome) participate. Also, a tip to other garage salers, I had a pitcher of ice tea available for free to my customers and the ones that did take some were very appreciative and more likely to buy items!
