Somedays we don't take the time.....I think of the people who lost their lives making this country all that it is. Then I think of the people that don't get the recognition for what they do for the country by what they do right in their own community. There are those that only look out for their interest. It is a sad day when our elderly no longer care what happens to the youth, and to the future of America. I am the first one to stand up and say, kids today aren't like the kids of yesterday and it sure seems that parent's don't care like they used to either! But there are those out there that are trying to do what they can to preserve what American neighborhoods are about. Freedom for families to grow up in a safe and decent area. Sad that the elderly wanted that for their children but now....that doesn't seem to matter. The things that my grandfather taught me is, don't complain if you don't vote and don't get involved to make changes. Don't judge another unless you have walked in their shoes. And until you have completely seen both sides of any issue, keep your mouth shut.

My point...thank you Westown volunteers. You did not deserved to get attacked for standing up for our neighborhood. Additional street lights, speed humps, grants for education, safety patrols for the streets..making this a safer, better neighborhood for all. To those attackers....shame on you!! Where is your support? I suppose if druggies and gang members start to harrass you on your walk to pick up your beer and wine, you'd shake your finger and complain that somebody should do something! Take a look, someone is and I for one...thank you again!!
Thanks
