Cholla Area -- Loose Dog

Posted in: Westown Watch
Hi, my name is Beth Podel. I grew up in the Cholla area and my parents still
live there. Last night my dad was walking the dog at the corner of 33rd Ave
and Lupine when two Pit Bulls attacked out of nowhere. Luckily my dad was
not physically injured; their dog was badly bitten, will be several weeks in
recovering, and according to the vet, very lucky to have survived. Animal
control responded immediately but unfortunately were unable to locate the
animals. They are belived to have headed west on Lupine.

I am hoping there is some way to alert the neighborhood to this. My parents'
dog is over 60 lbs, the size of a child. These Pit Bulls, if not controlled,
are a definite threat to the people and pets of your neighborhood.

Thanks for any help you can give in getting the word out.
