I just wanted to let everyone know that at around 6:00 PM tonight, 3 male blacks on bicycles, they looked to be teenagers, attempted to break into a home on
Mockingbird. I live behind the house and happened to be on my screened in porch and watched it go down. They tried to throw a brick or rock through the french doors on the back deck, but I yelled at them and they took off to the front of the house and jumped on their bicycles. I called 911 and the cops have been patrolling tonight. Another neighbor on Colonial also saw them knock on the front door before they went around to the back. He also called  911. He tried to follow them in his car and chased them all the way over to Wilbec, but lost them. They were also spotted earlier in the afternoon on their bicycles going down colonial.

Please be on the lookout. They are up to no good.

Another home on Mockingbird was burglarized this past weekend.   Similar MO.  Went in thru a small window after smashing it with a brick.  Report was that it had to be someone young or small to fit thru the opening.  Guns and other items were stolen.  Please call 545-COPS if you see anything suspicious.  Be on the look out for these young criminals on bicycles.

I have seen several young black teens riding bikes in the area near Mt. Moriah and Quince. I will start calling MPD when I notice them again. Initially I thought they may have just been harmless, but I will be on the look out from now on.

2 of these young black males were arrested in the Flamingo/Perkins Terrace area Aug. 3 with the help of undercover officers.
