Omar Al Khyam

We were recently treated to dinner at Omar Al Khyam by our new friends, the Alkhalili Family, who recently move here from California. We didn't really know what to expect, having never eaten Lebanese cuisine before, but we were extremely impressed!

Omar Al Khyam is a small, family owned restaurant located on Sunset Blvd, just on the West side of 405 in Renton. You've probably driven by it a hundred times and never even noticed it - it's right between Sunset Motors and 7-11.

The food was absolutely delicious - and generously portioned! We started off with a bowl of lentil soup, which was delicious, then Chris & I each ordered a chicken dish - mine was lemon & garlic chicken with hummus & rice, which was devine! Chris had another variation of chicken which he also enjoyed very much. The men finished off with a cup of strong Turkish Coffee.

If you like to try something a little different, you owe it to yourself to try Omar Al Khyam. They take such pride in their food and presentation, it's a treat you won't soon forget. We'll definetly be returning! If you decide to give them a try, please let me know what you thought!
