It is been over 14 months since the Landmarks Commission handed out the death sentence for future development along New Cut Road. On that hot summer day hundreds of south Louisville residents turned out in opposition to preserving the building in favor plan that would have allowed a promising development in its place.
The Commission knowing best for our future said no. 14 months later the building continues to rot New Cut Road can be a significant corridor for the neighborhood and South Louisville. I do not want to hear any preservation rhetoric. Leadership please step forward. New Cut Road has so much potential.
