Parking Problems

Posted in: Hutchinson Heights
We have a neighbor who refuses to park any of their 3 cars in their garage or driveway. Instead they park in front of their neighbor's houses, including one where they block access to a fire hydrant. We've politely asked them on several occassions not to infringe on our parking, but they ignore our requests.

Is there a covenant restriction or legal restriction on this?
Expired Plates

I have the same problem - there is a unregistered car (plates expired 6 months ago) parked on my street.

What can we do about this?
Have it hauled away

You can call the traffic division and have it hauled away.
Your parking problem

1. Work with your CRO (community resource officer) from your District police department. Car by the hydrant can be ticketed &/or CRO can talk to the occupants.
2. City streets are for public parking. However, City of Denver zoning code allows only 1 car for each licensed driver living in the house +1. So 2 drivers = 3 cars at the house & I presume this probably won't help.
And as long as the cars are not left there for more than 72-hrs. without moving them, then anyone has a right to park anywhere on city streets if legally parked.
