Hey everyone, look under the ''landscape update'' message for a reply dated 10/19 by Steven Lora. This guy is talking some sense, and is willing to take specific steps to address what we are all griping about. He says we need to first check Susan's contract, then gather bids for someone to provide same services. This is what the Landscape Committee was supposed to do in the first place, then they failed to even meet. Meanwhile we get another year of Susan. Let's get behind whoever can get some real results. I don't have time to do the footwork, but wouldn't mind attending a meeting of concerned parties.

My hand is raised.

I am here and ready for anyone's lead on this landscape issue. I don't care who deals with it as long as it is dealt with. And I am willing to help do some footwork.

Since I have 12 years of hiring contract work for tens of thousands of dollars a year (and a knack for research & for being thorough) I would be perfect to help get bids (once we have a work list of what is needed to be done for the year).

I understand Karla's frustration, I also understand who technically has the final say (Hammond's). But I also understand that if this neighborhood really gets together we can have what ever service we demand to have. Hammond's doesn't have the time or motive to fight this issue.

The point is, the people who care need to get some backbone and stand up.

I have written to our property manager, Marilyn Childress, to ask for a copy of the Park West landscape contract. I will let you know if/when I receive it.
