Christmas lighting
That's a nice offer. Lighting the area near the gates would be nice but I really enjoy the individuality of homeowners' decorations/lighting. For a variety of reasons some folks do not care to decorate or add lighting. We need to respect that.

Maybe...
It sounds like Susan does not have extention cords for everyones homes...I can understand that some people will not want to join in.
Maybe everyone who wants their bush or small tree lit-up can leave an extension cord at the front door by a certain date?
What do you folks think about that?

Common areas lights OK.

Love the idea!! I would be happy to provide an extension cord.
I do agree with one other writer of allowing each homeowner the choice. I think Sal had a good recommendation on how to implement...let the homeowners interested in the Christmas lighting provide a extension cord by a certain date.
