Cruise-N-Blues is the name of the festival that OHAN has organized for October 23rd. It's going to be an outdoor event in the parking lots of the Albertson's and HEB grocery stores.

I don't know all the details, but at least one band has been secured, tents are reserved, and the shopping center stores are anxious to participate.

I think the timing couldn't be better. The weather should be nice and it'a a week before Halloween, so let the kids test out their costumes early !!

There will be shuttle buses - Cap Metro is anxious to show you what they have set in motion for the near term and long term.

If you have any interest in volunteering for this annual event or for the SW Austin Master Planning committee, drop me an email and I'll get you connected. OHAN and the city are partnering to help us update the city's Master Plan, since SW Austin has never been included in it.

You know what we want and expect, so think about spending a little time with other like minded community leaders.

Incidently, we understand a new high end sit-down restaurant is coming to the frontage near Covered Bridge. Four others have been zoned and leased along Hwy 290 where FM 1826 connects, too!

Don't ask me about the Escarpment Village project, because I don't have anything new to add. I know that they have gone through all the regulator process and have a green light to start building any day now. I know, I can't wait, either !!

Looks like there are two bands confirmed now, and the times will be posted shortly. It looks like 4-9pm, but I don't think that's official, yet.

Old Oak Hill School house

The Cruise-N-Blue's, first annual Oak Hill festival has been moved to the Old Oak Hill elementry school house.

It's off of 290, where the bridge crosses the creek. That's a little west of where the elevated highway ramps end. There will be shuttle buses operating from ACC campus and other locations, so there is no parking close in. You can also park at the new school which is about a block behind the old one.

Posters will be going up and a web site, soon.

2005 Cruise-N-Blues planning

OHAN is already planning the 2005 Cruise-N-Blues day for late October!

If you are interested in setting up a booth or you just want to help with the planning, get in touch with me or OHAN.org

The location will proably be at the old Oak Hill school house, again. They will have electricity and a shuttle bus for remote parking.
