Two years was along time
Neither the past board nor their paid property management firm provided the any of the promises they made to the residents in the 2003 meeting. There are no lights in the mail centers, the actually reduced their street cleaning program, there have been no changes in the landscaping program, and communications went from terrible to nothing.
1) Since that meeting, not one board meeting was ever announced, no meeting notes were forwarded, and there was no noticed of change of the board's membership.
2) The By-Laws should have been fixed while CCHOA was in court. For instance, I think a 25 % quorum is illegal in Texas where a non-profit corporation qorum is defined as 1/10. (this was argued in District court and that was the judges finding).
3) When you wait two years to hold an annual meeting, you and the board abused your power and insulted the members. (As I recall, we had to petition the board to even hold the 2003 meeting.)
The previous board was ineffective and I stand by my claim that they are taking the low road - ducking out.
