  • Respect-O-Meter: Respected Neighbor
One of our neighbors in Phase II has recently expressed some concerns about the way that Hammonds Home delivered the house - some of the features appear to be misleading.

By the way, Hammonds Homes was taken over by Meritage, if you were wondering where they went. You'll see their new signs all along La Crosse and in other developments throughout Austin.

I know that I had a lot more difficulty dealing with Hammonds Homes than I ever expected. I had a number of issues before my house was completed and a lot of warrantee repairs after it was completed. Communication with their offices was slow and often ignored, even when I went through a Real Estate agent. I did write letters to Wes Peoples on two occassions, only be to bounced to three different Sales Representativies, each of which left without notice. The builder's field supervisor changed 3 times, as well. Several details that were outlined in the flier and which were built in two other models, were not built in my own.

If you have similar concerns that linger, you may be encourage to hear that one of our neighbors is considering legal action against Hammonds Homes. If you are interested, I will be more than happy to pass along your name and contact information.
