Insurance Industry Sets its Sights on Texas Constitution
Texans Against Prop. 12 Defends Texans Against Insurance Company Attacks

Texans Against Prop. 12-an alliance of families, doctors, small businesses, patients, seniors and consumer organizations-is defending the Texas Constitution against insurance industry and special interest attacks.

Not content with the most radical re-write of Texas's legal system in decades, the insurance industry has unveiled an aggressive campaign to gain control of the Texas Constitution. Proposition 12, a proposed amendment on the Sept. 13th ballot, would shift power that currently lies in the hands of juries and citizens to the control of Texas politicians and lobbyists.

The insurance and HMO industries are hoping to sneak Prop. 12 by Texas voters to win special legal protections at the expense of Texas families, doctors, seniors, workers and businesses. Texans Against Prop. 12 is working with organizations and citizens across the state to defeat this proposition.
