Costly News Letter

Posted in: Circle C
Looking at the financial statement, I see over $56,000. for the newsletter.
Seems ecessive. Why not just post on line and leave a few copies at the mail boxes for those who don't go online?

The NEW Newsletter is FREE

Our last two newsletters were FREE.

The board allowed a commercial printer to publish our CCHOA Newsetter and to mail it every member, at no cost, for 3 month trial period.

They also have a survey going on about the new Newsletter, at the CCHOA new web site (www.circlecranch.info).

The Income/Expense summary shows the cost of the past Newsletters, which had no advertising.

I, for one, agree with posting the newsletter on-line, but I don't think we can do that if it's outsourced. We can post anything we want to on the web site, although there are some practical limits on the web site size.

The web site is still growing, but it's a big improvement over the previous one.

There are a lot more interesting expenses in the report and I want to see what the trends are. For instance, are we spending more each year on the Landscaping, the Pool, and legal fees ? Where can we cut back and how.

The Amenities funding is going to be very interesting to discuss. We have a large fund that isn't shown on this sheet, because we don't have control of that fund yet. Nor do we have the deeds for the land that that new pool and elementry school are expected to be built on.

Water expense was huge this year - $108K is a lot of water.
