Who is OHAN?

Who is OHAN?

We like to think of OHAN as the concerned citizens of Oak Hill and the surrounding area.

No, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!

The Wm. Wm.Cannon overpass is already under construction and paid for by our tax dollars. This is not the time to change direction and convert this to a toll revenue funded project.

Citizens for Mobility's 'Bold Solution' to Austin's Traffic problems is an obvious end run around the existing tax funded project in an attempt to divert committed tax dollars to other areas.

Stop them, and stop their hair brained Toll Road 'solution' to our Mopac bridge Wm Cannon overpass.

Thank you,

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hillard

Dear Residents

Dear Residents

We are at a critical phase regarding the future health of southwest Austin and in particular, Circle C Ranch. We have the final phase of Mopac being constructed, the bridge over William Cannon. The CTRMA and CAMPO have designated this bridge as the very first toll road in Central Texas.

Their proposal would be to charge a 50cent to 75cent toll each away over this bridge and an additional 50cents to 75cents to use the short flyovers in front of Wal-Mart.

The cost of this bridge is 8.3 million dollars which the TxDot saved little by little over the years from our tax money to pay for this bridge. They finally had enough of our money saved to commence construction. However, in an effort to pay for other projects around Round Rock and the east side including the NAFTA rout 130 they have decided to construct these toll boots at a cost of $15,000,000 and tax Circle C Ranch along with our brothers and sisters in the neighborhoods around us. The collection devices and logistics to collect the toll is almost DOUBLE what the bridge cost it self.

Our strategy at this juncture, is to invite as many moms, dads and there kids (they will pay this toll when they learn how to drive, the booths will not go away) as possible to show up in opposition to the last hearing of the CAMPO board.

CAMPO is aware of all the figures, and typical arguments. They are prepared for this. What they are not prepared for is the public awareness that they are elected officials and the people will act on this awareness.

Please visit the website www.vintageplace.net/crazytoll.htm , there is a list of the CAMPO members and other officials which should be made aware of your awareness. Please email them with your thoughts regarding the toll and your future vote.

Thank you very much for your time, please email me with questions at dietz1@vintageplace.net .
