Parking ticket

Nope..
This was a pink ticket, issued by a Precinct 5 constable...
So i called precinct 3 (??) and the lady there said i had to pay $275..

The ticket is for parking in the access zone in an area for the disabled..(i.e. the stripes next to the disabled parking spot...).
I'd like to say that this is a lesson , and I'll learn from it, and we'll park in the middle of the street before parking in a disabled spot again...but yeeesh...its still 275 bucks...

6 years driving 40 miles a day in a red mustang and no ticket...But park a Passat at the CDC, for a few minutes and its $275 bucks..now that's ironic...

Tell Board Want Drop Spaces

There is a resident(?) that considers it his perogative to write tickets there and does so, often while checking his mail. I was given an agressive verbal warning, with sort of a ''you are worse than dirt'' tone and was warned that I had better spread the word (despite me not knowing other parents). I wrote to the board, pointing out that the striped space looks like many others and it is not at all obvious that it is an extension of the handicap space. If it is so, it should be market to both avoid your fate and to help handicapped (if actually applicable, which is not obvious to me). Like you, I was concerned about the safety of small kids and was only planning to be there <5 min. ''Captain Ticket'' did not seem at all concerned about child safety. I proposed to the board that 2-3 spaces be marked CDC Drop Only during CDC hours, so numerous parents could use the spaces, instead of one employee, lifeguard, or even pool-goer. Although I have had good experiences with the board, I did not hear back about this concern.

Thanks for the advice

I will write to the board as well...
I never knew until i got this ticket either that the striped space was an extension of the handicapped spot...

Also i've seen other parents actually park on the driveway to the daycare, and that to me is downright dangerous for kids...
