Circle C Don't Care?

Please tell me this excerpt from the Austin paper isn't true.

''And Niemeyer has news for the political intrigue crowd on both sides. The vast majority of residents of Circle C don't care, either, he said. Most don't know who Gary Bradley is, he said, and would only care if he were the one who missed a lawn cutting or flower planting or tree trimming.''
What a crock!

I have to say - the story stunk. From that article, you'd think we were all just little zombies not wanting to worry our pretty little heads about anything as ''complicated'' as how our money is spent. Sure, a few people out here probably meet that description, but that's a a common misconception held be most of Austin. That's probably how the city justifies not listening to our concerns when it comes to traffic / Wal-Mart, etc...
From a journalistic perspective - the story was poorly done. What did the guy do - make two phone calls and write a story? No matter what side your on, you have to admit that the major issues were not really covered.
Perhaps, if the reporter was smart enough, he could have seen the big picture. A story comparing the HOA dues of several large communities - along with the size and make-up of their boards - would have been interesting read.

Chemist is also an accountant?

''Niemeyer said he checked the homeowners association books and found them in good order.''

Does he care that many residents have found something else? So this chemist is also an accountant?

Sounds like Niemeyer is out of touch, or simply does not care to hear from residents. If not, he will begin a quarterly town hall style meeting ''if'' he is elected.

By the way, our governing documents state that we are supposed to get an audit report every year. We have only had an audit 2 out of our 16 years.

Where is 2002's audit?
