When is the next CHOA Board meeting? I have not seen any announcement on the Web site. You used to post the dates and times of the board meetings. Just wondering what happened?

On the official site today (updated 4/2/04) at http://www.circlecranch.com/homeowners.htm it has old info:

''The next board meeting will be March 22 at 7pm at the Circle C Child Development Center.''

At http://www.circlecranch.com/homeowners-news-orig.htm is says:

''The next board meeting of the Circle C HOA Board of Directors to be announced.''

BOD meetings were the 20th

In the past year or so, the board meetings have been held on or close to the 20th of the month.

They had been held on Saturday mornings at the old Info Center the year before.

One of the changes that the new board members were asked to consider, was holding board meetings at times where other members could attend. Instead of 8-10 am in the Golf Center, they were asked to vary the times and places.


The board meetings are open to all members. As such, they need to also be accessable to all members.

The Child Development Center was one possibility and it was done last month at 7pm.

In the past, they were meeting once a month. That may continue for a while, as the new board gets up to speed, but in the long run, the board meetings should become less frequent.



By having 7 directors, we can and should put two directors on the most important committees, which gives the authority to act without going to the full board for every little thing.


For instance, when Arron wanted to buy a new pool vacuum clearner, he should have been able to get permission from the Recreation Committee, rather than going to the full board.

This is the proper way to share responsibilities.


Similarly, if the safety committee decides that we need more handicaped parking spaces at teh pool or mail center, they should be able to get bids and then get the job done.

It is my hope that the communications committee will soon be taking on a more proactive role, like that, as the bring in a new, full-featured web site for CCHOA.
