On 11-30-99, DART representatives met with Bachman area residents and businesses for our input regarding DART rail lines and station stops for the Northwest Corridor, including Irving, Farmers Branch and Carrollton.
Although there are some decisions remaining to be made regarding routing to Irving, Las Colinas, DFW Airport, and whether to rail or shuttle into Love Field, we are certain to receive a light rail line along Denton Drive with a rail stop near Northwest Highway.
This is especially beneficial to us as a community, as this intersection will be our western gateway into Bachman, which will be accomplished through our Northwest Highway Urban Design Study. Finally, we are starting to realize some positive economic growth.
DART currently estimates completion by the year 2007.
